Pearlie Mae's, Valerian's, and Blue Star Mothers Offer Christmas Gifts Galore

What would you pay for a nice silk floral arrangement in Tulsa? $50? $75?

Well, at Pearlie Mae's, look for beautiful arrangements with affordable price-points. Most of the arrangements on this page are priced at $15 to $20. Yes, you read that right.

This table wreath includes a battery-operated candle.

Pearlie Mae's also sells amazing wreaths like this one that will have your door looking really special.

Animal prints are all the rage this season and this beautiful candle arrangement will keep your mantle in vogue beyond the holiday season.

New vendor Valerian's presents a little different take on Christmas decor, bringing pastel holiday decor to the Holiday Boutique.

This Winter Wonderland scene is particularly beautiful. I love how the door appears to be lit from within.

Even farm animals get in on the Christmas spirit at Valerians...this winter barnyard scene is stunningly beautiful.

Valerian's also has a lovely selection of burlap pillows, including these Mr. and Mrs. pillows, which would make a very nice wedding gift for a favorite couple on the day of their nuptials.

Last, but certainly not least, are the offerings of Rogers County's Blue Star Mothers. This vendor raises funding to help send care packages to deployed men and women in the U.S. Military. You can show your American spirit with a jewelry set like this one:

These blingy pins featuring branches of the military would make an excellent stocking stuffer for your favorite veteran.

Blue Star Mothers also sells a variety of beautiful accessories like this multi-purpose scarf, which would accent any beautiful holiday outfit.

Carry your lunch to work with American pride using one of these red-white-and-blue insulated tote.

VIP Shopping Night Kicks Off Best Holiday Boutique Yet

Tonight, I saw so many of my friends from various parts of Rogers County, and I remembered why I love this community so much. There are some wonderful people who call this place home.

You could say they're a part of my "tribe," or my "hive," as the case may be. And just like honey, they make my life super-sweet.

Because tonight was the VIP Shopping Event for the United Way of Rogers and Mayes County Holiday Boutique. And about 100 ladies converged on the RSU Centennial Center Ballroom to enjoy an evening of appetizers, wine, girlfriend time, and shopping. It was fabulous!

One of our new vendors is Roark Acres Honey and their honey, lotion bars, creamed honey, beeswax, and other beehive-related products.

Did you know that eating locally raised honey can help with your allergies? It certainly can...

Skrappie Happie Decorates Walls in Style

I just had to start with this picture, because dachshunds are my absolute favorite. I mean, who doesn't love a little "sausage dog?" This combination artwork/organizer is made out of old pallets and handcrafted by Holiday Boutique vendor Skrappie Happie.

This one is just precious, and would be a wonderful gift for a friend who has lost a special loved one, just as a reminder that there are angels all around us. I'm loving the burlap bow, as well.

Skrappie Happie's signs are handmade by Alisha Martin, owner of the business. These signs are just cuter than cute...I am going to go wild in this booth, I can tell right now.

Here's a little "Pistols Firing" shout-out to Pistol Pete and the OSU Cowboys 9-0 season so far. Go Pokes!

You're going to love Skrappie Happie and all of the really wonderful vendors at the 2015 Holiday Boutique.

Don't forget - tonight's the big night...VIP Shopping Event at the RSU Centennial Center from 5 to 8 p.m. If you don't have a ticket, that's okay. Come anyway, and bring a girlfriend! $25 to get in and we'll have appetizers and punch for you.

6th Day Decals Brings Custom-Designed Artwork to the Holiday Boutique

What do you get the person who has everything? What about a custom sign for their wall with an inscription that means something to you both?

6th Day Decals Owner Melanie DeGidts purchased her vinyl lettering business from her mother, Judy Ward. Judy and her husband, Mike, as you may recall, were the owners of Adventure Signs in Claremore until recently, when they decided to sell the business and move to Colorado. Rumor has it that Mike and Judy do a lot of hiking and bear-watching now.

Melanie, too, has embarked upon an adventure, using her vinyl-letter-cutting machine to make the cutest things imaginable for her customers.

There's nothing Melanie cannot do. Have a favorite scripture? She can cut it out for you and make it into your own piece of custom artwork. Have a favorite quote? She can cut it out, too. Anything your heart desires - pretty much - can be made into a custom piece of artwork right before your very eyes at the Holiday Boutique.

All of the booth spaces are laid out for the Holiday Boutique. Move-in day is tomorrow, with the VIP Event from 5 to 8 p.m.

Here are all the details:

Thursday, November 12, 2015, 5 to 8 p.m. VIP Shopping Event, $25 tickets

Saturday, November 14, 2015, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. General Admission Shopping, $5 tickets
All at the RSU Centennial Center Ballroom
1701 W. Will Rogers Blvd. in Claremore, OK

Vintage + Antique = Vintique Charm

If you've lived in Claremore for any length of time, you've surely noticed the resurgence of the downtown area with its antique stores, boutiques, restaurants, and other wonderful shops. One of the best of the best in the downtown landscape is Vintique Charm.

Within the walls of this boutique, you will find a selection of hand-painted, repurposed furniture, home decor, Annie Sloan paints, darling clothing, and much, much more. It's a paradise for the discerning shopper. Every time I go in to look, I come out holding a sack full of bargains!

But to truly tell you what an amazing place it is, I have to tell you a story about the Holiday Boutique two years ago. It was Thursday morning and all of the vendors were bringing in their wares. We'd contracted with someone to bring in hand-painted furniture and she'd requested a higher-profile booth near the front entrance. At about noon, I noticed that I still hadn't seen her come in and her booth was completely empty. I tried calling her cell phone and it was disconnected.

I still fight to find the words to adequately describe the sheer panic of that moment. I began frantically going back through my notes looking for someone who could fill the space. At 1:05, I got Sheila Gianelli, proprietress of Vintique Charm on the phone.

At that time, Sheila's husband was deployed and she had just opened a shop in Owasso. She was quiet for a very long time after I made my bold request. I just knew I was sunk!

But Sheila, even though she had the weight of the world on her shoulders...told me YES, she would come. An hour later, we helped her unload her trailer and she set up the CUTEST booth in the place, even though she admitted to me that it wasn't the way she liked to have her booth set up. You could have fooled me...it was the best booth in the place! And she nearly sold out...

This is just another reason I love Claremore and the people who inhabit it. The can-do spirit is alive and well and neighbors help neighbors.

I've been a fan ever since. I know you will love every inch of Vintique Charm's booth this year at the Holiday Boutique. Sheila pours herself into displaying quality products and her commitment to helping her customers select the perfect gift is unmatched.

Tomorrow's the big day! VIP Shopping Event from 5 to 8 p.m. at the RSU Centennial Center. You don't want to miss it. Need a ticket? They're just $25. Call Angela at (918) 637-4129 to get yours.

Can't come tomorrow night? No worries. General Admission begins at noon on Friday and continues until 8 p.m. Saturday, November 14th, we'll be open again from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Please come out and SHOP UNITED! This is the place to get all your shopping done for Christmas, ladies!
