Wild Prairie Bloom Paints The Town Cute!

The latest craze in fashion for children and adults is the fabric headband. Check out this little darling, the daughter of Kristy Erwin, owner of Wild Prairie Bloom. Kristy is the wife of RSU's Athletic Director, Ryan Erwin, and she runs Wild Prairie Bloom out of her home. She's also planning to join us for the 2014 Holiday Boutique.

In honor of Halloween, Kristy posted this picture today. What a precious outfit! What a cutie-pie! Here at the Holiday Boutique, we love little pumpkins...the gourds and the human ones!

Feast your eyes on the amazing assortment of fabrics and colors of these lovely headbands.

Treat yourself to one and make sure to purchase a few for all of your friends...They'll be asking where you got yours.

The accessorizing is truly limitless with Wild Prairie Bloom's huge selection of colors and styles.

I'm loving this picture of Kristy and her daughter, decked out in matching headbands and smooching away. Is there anything better than a Momma-Baby Girl smoochie? I think not!

The excitement is building for this year's Holiday Boutique...November 13, 14, 15, 2014 at the RSU Centennial Center. You will not want to miss this event. Where else can you get all of your holiday shopping done BEFORE THANKSGIVING? We'll even wrap your purchases for free. Your Morning Wake-Up Call is at Falconhouse Coffee Company

It is safe to say that I should not ever operate machinery until I've had at least one cup of joe in the morning. As soon as the black stuff hits my system, I become fully human and my ability to use my opposable thumbs as well as my full vocabulary kicks into high gear.

Somehow, I sense that I am not alone in this...that I have brothers and sisters throughout the world whose need for caffeine rivals my own. This has been unscientifically confirmed by the millions of dollars in sales from companies like Folgers, Maxwell House, and the lesser-known Chock Full O' Nuts as well as the Starbucks franchises that keep popping up on random corners throughout the world.

So when I heard about Falconhouse Coffee Company, it was as if the angels arrived singing the "Hallelujah" chorus. Fresh roasted coffee ground especially for me? Why, you shouldn't have!

I am told that proprietress Cathy Falcon takes her coffee VERY seriously and has done a great deal of research on the matter, from how coffee beans are grown and harvested to how they are roasted, ground, brewed and pressed to make the perfect cup of coffee.

Best of all, she will have her amazing selection of roasted coffees on hand for the 2014 Holiday Boutique and you, too, can enjoy the deliciousness that is Falconhouse Coffees.

For tickets to the Holiday Boutique, please call (918) 343-1165. The event is November 13, 14, and 15, 2014 at the RSU Centennial Center in Claremore. Partake of the shopping with 25 boutique-style vendors and free gift wrapping is available on-site as well!

Ladies, if you're looking for a Christmas gift for that special fella, the Holiday Boutique has got you covered this year. New vendor Slow Hand Manufacturing, out of Afton, Oklahoma, will be bringing a variety of handmade gifts perfect for the dapper gentlemen in your life.

A nice shaving set like this one will be just what the doctor ordered after our upcoming round of "No-Shave November."

And what discerning duck hunter wouldn't love a handmade duck call?

For the oenophile (that's fancy talk for wine-lover), this gorgeous wood corkscrew and bottle stopper set, paired with a bottle or two of wine, would make a perfect hostess gift.

Don't forget to throw a little kitsch into the mix by including a stemmed red solo cup with your gift. These would be perfect at a Dirty Santa gift exchange for the wine drinker who doesn't take himself or herself too seriously.

For the businessman or businesswoman on your gift list, these gorgeous carved wooden pens would be the perfect accompaniment to a leather-bound portfolio. Think of that hard-to-buy-for boss!

All of these items and much more are in store for you at the 2014 Rogers County United Way Holiday Boutique, November 13-15, 2014 at the RSU Centennial Center. Need tickets? Call (918) 343-1165. Accessorize Your Holiday Wardrobe with Premier Designs

"The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize." - Steel Magnolias

Not only do I love the tearjerking movie "Steel Magnolias" and the colorful cast of characters who sift in and out of Truvy's hair salon in Chinkapin Parish, but I love jewelry. If your wardrobe doesn't include some cute costume jewelry, you're just not living right.

Some of my favorite pieces come from a company called Premier Designs Jewelry, one of the vendors at the 2014 Holiday Boutique.

This is the Chiclets Necklace and Double-Take Enhancer. Wouldn't this look beautiful with a long tunic sweater and leggings?

Or this Rock-It Necklace with four strands of natural-looking stones would look amazing with a orange sweater, skinny jeans, and boots for a night out on the town with your favorite guy.

Don't leave out your wrist. It's dying for some bling, too, like this Charm Bangle with Keep It Personal Charms. Spell out your favorite mantra and add pearls or other pretty accents to make it sparkle!

Rings are all the rage this fall and the bigger, the better. This Infinite Love Ring Set features three stacked rings with the infinity symbol prominent in the center.

Please join us November 13-15, 2014 at the RSU Centennial Center in Claremore for the Rogers County United Way Holiday Boutique. This one-stop shopping extravaganza is on every smart shoppers list this year as the place to buy holiday gifts and get them wrapped for free. Holiday shopping done and done!

Be sure to stop by the Premier Designs booth and let Cindy or Barbara help you pick out some jewelry for that special someone (or for your own amazing holiday outfit). For tickets to the Holiday Boutique, call (918) 343-1165.

Deck Your Bod With The District on Main

Ah, Christmas carols! I love them. Hard to believe it's almost time to start singing them again!

If you've been up and down Will Rogers Boulevard (that's Main Street here in Claremore!), you've probably noticed the abundance of cute new shops...one of the absolute cutest being The District on Main.

Vests are all the rage this fall, and these two options, one a lovely black herringbone pattern, the other a nautical navy stripe, are sure to be just the lift your wardrobe needs as we approach winter in Oklahoma.

These scarves from The District on Main are Christmas-y and preppy. I'm just pleased as punch to see the plaid back in the windows of the shops. It never should have gone away...

These super-fun sweatshirts will be perfect for Homecoming in Stillwater (that's this weekend, folks!) or Bedlam in Norman this year (that's December 6th!)

Don't forget the jewelry as you step out the door. The District on Main carries Harley and Maude's jewelry and these cute bracelets from Bourbon and Bowties. Get yours at the Holiday Boutique!

The District on Main also stocks these great iPhone covers, calendars, recipe boxes, and other stationery items from Rifle Paper Company. These are perfect for the organizational dynamo in your life!

Dip Into the Holiday Season with Ella's Dips

Entertaining friends and family during the holiday season just got a lot easier with returning Holiday Boutique vendor Ella's Dips.

If you're like me, you try to keep a few staples on hand especially for this special time of year. Things like crackers, cream cheese, pepper jellies, sour cream, hard cheeses, olives, and items for an impromptu relish tray. Why not stock up on some dry dip mixes? Ella's Dips has a number of varieties that are holiday-ready, including savory dips like Cheesy Enchilada Dip and sweet like yummy Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip. Best of all, owner Joella Crouch displays a taste-tempting array of dips already mixed and ready for tasting. Just grab a pretzel stick, cracker, or chip and dig in!

Once you get a taste of these delicious hot and cold dips, you'll be hooked.
